This is a self promotional portrait. I wanted to do one incorporating a bandanna. I had a dog just like this when I was in high school, but it was a Motley Crue bandanna instead of an American flag. It was the 1980’s!
Boston Terrier With Bandanna

This is a self promotional portrait. I wanted to do one incorporating a bandanna. I had a dog just like this when I was in high school, but it was a Motley Crue bandanna instead of an American flag. It was the 1980’s!
The commission to paint this handsome dog came from a former co-worker. Chaz has innocent eyes and a beautiful face.
This was another commission for Christmas of 2019. When I hear the term “good dog”, this is the dog I see.
This cute little spaniel belongs to the son of one of my customers and was a Christmas gift. I thought to use the colors of the holiday to play off his earth tone color.
This is the first guinea pig that I was commissioned to paint. The cutest part of his face are the eyes and nose. This is also the first time I painted only the head, which I liked and started that practice in the rest of my portraits.
This beautiful dog was illustrated for my sister. She is a border collie and is a sweetheart but very protective of the family. Good dog! I love the the pose of her looking down but her brown eyes are looking up. I also like the contrast of the colorful bandanna against her black hair.
Boxers are known as the comedians of the dog world. They are funny, smart and unpredictable. But on the flip side they also resemble an old soul with heavy thoughts. That is how I illustrated this guy. Of course as soon as you notice this feature the jump up and do something funny! That is…
This beautiful black mixed lab was drawn in a rough hand-drawn style that compliments the geometric shapes of the background. What has his attention off camera? Only he knows.
This cute little guy looks like he is ready for an adventure! This was a commission for a friend of mine of her two-year old yorkie. His name is Winston and he is a wild man! You can see that by the look in his eyes.
Look at this crazy dog! This is a commissioned piece for the dad of a co-worker. Zella has been through every canine training course available, but in the end a silly dog is still exists with with tongue wagging and head tilting in fine form.
