Bruce Lee was one of the most influential people of the twentieth century. He founded Jeet Kune Do, he was an actor, filmmaker, philosopher, and a helluva cha-cha dancer. Bruce Lee was to martial arts like Jimi Hendrix was to music, they changed everything. I am just a huge fan of his that I am surprised I did not draw him earlier.
This pose is from Enter the Dragon, which was released in 1973. It is an amazing movie.
I wanted to capture his intensity in this painting that he shows in the climatic fight that takes place in the movie.
I made the background as crazy as possible to show how calm and in control he was when surrounded by chaos.
